
Israel and Hezbollah have accused each other of violating the ceasefire that ended nearly 14 months of fighting.
Israeli forces carried out several attacks in southern Lebanese towns, killing two people and injuring six others, although end the war agreed with Hezbollah mostly he continued to hold.
An Israeli attack on the village of Rab el-Thalathine in southern Lebanon killed two people and wounded two others on Saturday, according to the National News Agency (NNA).
Israeli airstrikes also hit a vehicle in the town of Majdal Zoun in the South Governorate of Tire, injuring three people, including a child, Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said.
Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes in Tibnah area of Beisariyah town in Sidon district of South Governorate, injuring one person, according to the ministry.
Israel’s military says it has attacked a Hezbollah compound in Sidon that houses rocket-propelled grenades.
It said it also hit a vehicle in southern Lebanon loaded with rocket-propelled grenades, weapons and ammunition as part of its crackdown on violations of the anti-explosion law.
Israel carried out the attacks despite an Israel-Lebanon ceasefire that ended 13 months of fighting between the Israeli army and Hezbollah.
The two groups are accusing each other of violating the law anti-war laws since it went into effect on Wednesday.
Under the agreement, Hezbollah must withdraw its forces north of the Litani River, about 30km (20 miles) north of the border, and withdraw its military equipment from southern Lebanon.
Israel must withdraw its forces south of the Blue Line, the de facto border, gradually, while Lebanese and UN forces will be deployed to southern Lebanon while Israeli forces withdraw for 60 days.
Israel has insisted on its “full military rights” in Lebanon if Hezbollah violates the ceasefire agreement or attempts to restore it.
Since October 2023, Israeli attacks in Lebanon have killed at least 3,961 people, injured more than 16,500 others, and displaced more than one million people, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.
Israeli officials have said that Hezbollah’s attack on northern Israel and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights has killed 45 civilians and 73 Israeli soldiers.
