Conflict between Drake and Kendrick Lamar continues, as the 38-year-old Canadian rapper’s company, Froze Moments LLC, filed a “petition” against Universal Music Group (UMG), which represents the 37-year-old rapper, over the song “Not Like. Us.” The song mentions Drake with the line: “Say, Drake, I hear you ‘tiny/ Don’t go to cell block one/ For every b*tch that talks to him and likes him/ Just make sure you hide your sister from him.
This prompted UMG to issue a statement, which they shared Billboardthat: “The idea that UMG would do anything to harm its artists is offensive and short-sighted.” The statement continued, “We use the best marketing and advertising methods. No amount of fanciful and irrational litigation can hide the fact that fans choose the music they want to hear.”
