Google antitrust gut punch and Trump wild card
Last week, the US Department of Justice released its opinion on the benefits provided in its lawsuit against Google. While no one thought the DOJ would go easy on Google, the remedies it presented are extensive and, if implemented, could be a threat to its business.
Then, Google will make its decision in court. Ultimately, Judge Amit Mehta, who has been presiding over the case, will have to decide what, if any, procedures to institute. So what does the DOJ want, and what will the incoming Trump administration do??
