Eminem’s Mother Debbie Nelson Dies at 69


Rapper Marshall Bruce Mathers II, also known as Eminem’s mother Debbie Nelson, has died. He was suffering from lung cancer and reportedly passed away in St. Joseph in Missouri. He was 69 years old at the time of his death.

News of the death of Eminem’s mother Debbie Nelson was confirmed by the rapper’s representative. It was reported that a few months ago he was seriously ill. According to Touch Magazine, he spent his last months in the midst of cancer and being with his family.

For the uninitiated, Debbie Nelson was a close secretary. Back in 2008, he published a memoir called My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem. In her books, she talked about her upbringing, growing up in a dysfunctional family and marrying Marshal Bruce Matheers Jr. at the age of 16. She gave birth to her son two years later.

Nelson and Eminem had a strong mother-son relationship. In his song Cleanin’ Out My Closet, he talked about parental neglect and drug use. However, the couple faced difficulties and in 2022, Nelson spoke about his son’s pride.
