Trump’s previous threat to jail Zuckerberg
On the other hand, the relationship between Trump and Zuckerberg has been very strained.
In August – and in print, at least – Trump threatened Zuckerberg with life in prison if he is seen to interfere in the 2024 election.
In his book, Save America, Trump wrote Zuckerberg “will bring his best wife to dinner, be as nice as anyone can be, while always plotting to put the Lock Boxes in a real conspiracy against the PRESIDENT.”
The mention of “Lock Box” seems to refer to the $420 million that Zuckerberg gave to support the elections in 2020.
At that time, the opposition—including President Trump at the time– baseless he said the money is being used to get Democratic nominee Joe Biden elected.
Rightfully so, studies at UCLA published in May found that the billion-called “Zuckerbucks” by critics – “didn’t really change the performance of the democratic electorate.”
In August, Zuckerberg explained more.
In an open letter written to Republican Rep. Jim Jordan, Zuckerberg said that the donation was made to be impartial and was spread in various rural and urban areas.
“We are watching him closely,” Trump added in the book, “and if he does anything illegal this time he will be in prison for the rest of his life – just like the others who rigged the 2024 presidential election.”
Trump made the same claim in July.
Writing on his social networkTruth Social, a Republican Party candidate said: “All I can say is that if I am elected President, we will go after Election Fraudsters on a scale we have never seen before, and they will be sent to prison for a long time.” We already know who you are. DON’T DO IT! ZUCKERBUCKS, watch out!
Zuckerberg is a 2024 election
Meta Launcher, $202 billion, he kept his cards close to his chest during this election, not endorsing Trump or Harris.
However, he praised Trump’s response to the assassination attempt at one of his rallies in July.
Zuckerberg said Bloomberg’s Emily Chang Later that month: “To some extent as an American, it’s hard to, like, have a sense of that spirit and that fight. And I think that’s why a lot of people like the guy. “
The businessman later praised the President-elect for his successful campaign to win the White House, writing on his Threads app: “Congratulations to President Trump on a decisive victory. We have a great opportunity ahead of us as a country. I look forward to working with you and your management. “
