Noble Audio just announced pending availability his best headphones yet. The FoKus Rex5 headphones manage to cram a lot of technology into a small package, with a price tag of $450 to confirm.
First, Noble has placed five drivers in each ear. This is the first time it has happened, because the idea of putting multiple drivers in small headphones is a new idea. His noble FoKus Prestige headphones including three drivers, but certainly not five.
The FoKus Rex5 headphones include a dynamic driver, a planar driver and three dynamic drivers for increased frequency. The company says this combination creates “an impressive sound system that delivers rich, full bass, high mids, and a clear 20Hz to 40kHz frequency response.”
For the uninitiated, planar drivers provide accurate signal through the treble and mids. Powerful drivers have the ability to move more air, resulting in better bass response. FoKus Apollo headphones which the company has recently released combining these two types of drivers.
These headphones integrate with proprietary software and Audiodo customization software. This allows people to customize the EQ settings based on their hearing, which is then amplified in the ears. Of course, the Rex5 blades offer noise cancellation and a wide range of exposure modes.
As for connectivity, the Rex5 headphones use Bluetooth 5.4 with Multipoint. It also has aptX Adaptive and LDAC hi-res codecs, along with AAC and SBC. The company says customers should expect five hours of use per charge with ANC and seven hours after it ends. The headphones come with a built-in battery that can last up to 40 hours of use, with a fast charging function. The case is green to match the leaves.
Noble Audio’s FoKus Rex5 headphones are available to order right now, with shipping starting on November 29. As mentioned earlier, they cost $450, which is $200 more. Apple’s flagship AirPods Pro 2.
