The only major difference is that the rope is split in two—the idea is that you start in the middle of the tree, not the bottom, and wrap one rope around the top and the other around the bottom. It’s a little confusing, and the straps can be quite heavy depending on your price.
Ollny Christmas Lights for $56: If you want something simple, Ollny’s warm and welcoming Christmas lights are affordable. I tested the 49-foot light string, which has 1,000 LEDs in a beautiful warm color. They are IP44 rated and come with a remote control which makes them perfect for outside your home. You can choose from eight settings, four brightness levels, and set the monitor to turn on or off after a certain number of hours.
Govee Outdoor String Lights (48 feet) for $49: I love the look of big bulbs outside for the holidays. The lights from Govee have plenty of space between each bulb to be an outdoor Christmas light, but are perfect for hanging over a fence or pergola. I love that you can combine the straps of this to make it long or short, depending on your needs.
Twinkly Net Light for $100: These lights work well, with a large bulb and a net shape to make it easy to throw leaves in your yard and not throw lights into the leaves. It’s a good size for a single hedge, but there’s no easy way to connect several of them if you have a lot of hedges you want to cover.
