A time travel romance, a detective thriller, a workplace comedy, and a simple exploration of the nature of the nature and the ability to change it all: Welcome to the Ministry of Time, the novel novel by Kalian Bradley.
In the near future, a civil servant is offered his dream salary and shortly thereafter, on which project she is working on. A recently established government ministry is collecting “expats” from all over history to establish whether time travel is possible for-but also for space-time fabrics.
He is assigned to act as a “bridge”: “1847” or commander Graham Gore to live, assist and monitor it with an expat. As far as history is concerned, Commander Gore died in the Arctic campaign of Sir John Franklin in 1845, so he wanders a little to live with an unmarried woman who regularly shows his calves, such as “washing machines,” “Spotify,” and “The slope,” and “The Taple of the British Empire”. But with a hunger for Discovery, a seven-day cigarette habit, and the support of an attractive and chaotic artists of fellow expats, he soon adjusted.
The next year, what the bridge initially thought, best, a terrible uncomfortable roommate dynamic, something very deeply develops. By the time the real shape of the ministry’s project comes out, the bridge has fallen in love, with the results that she could never imagine. They were forced to face the options that bring together, how the bridge should finally be considered – and what she believes – what she does further can change the future.
An excellent origin of styles and ideas and fun fusion from fever, the Ministry of Time asks: What does it mean to defy history when history is living in your home? Kaliane Bradley’s response is a blazing, unforgettable will we give to each other in a changing world.
